Know more. Treat smarter.
Most doctors test total testosterone, tell you you’re “normal,” and send you on your way. Real optimization requires the complete picture: hormones, thyroid, metabolism, cardiovascular risk, inflammation, and nutrient status. The question isn’t whether you need comprehensive testing. It’s how comprehensive you want to be.

How to choose your panel
Not sure? Here’s how to think about it.
Start with Essentials if:
You need qualification screening for hormone therapy
Budget is the primary concern
You want to confirm candidacy before investing in comprehensive testing
Upgrade to Performance if:
You want answers, not just approval
You suspect factors beyond testosterone are affecting your symptoms
You’d rather have complete data upfront than piecemeal testing later
Choose Complete Health if:
You have metabolic concerns (weight, blood sugar, energy crashes)
You want thyroid and cardiovascular baseline
You’re serious about root cause medicine
Go with Longevity Pro if:
You’re playing the long game on health
You want the most comprehensive baseline available
You’re 40+ or have significant family history
Add Cardio if:
You’re 40+ or have family history of heart disease
You’re starting TRT and want baseline cardiovascular data
You want advanced risk markers beyond standard cholesterol
FAQs
Common questions. Straight answers.
Which panel do most patients choose?
Performance is the most popular. It hits the sweet spot between basic candidacy screening and full metabolic workup. Most men who want to understand their symptoms, not just qualify for treatment, start here. Men focused on metabolic health or longevity typically go Complete Health or Longevity Pro.
Can I start with Essentials and upgrade later?
Yes. Many patients start with Essentials to confirm candidacy, then order a more comprehensive panel at their 3-6 month follow-up. The only downside is two separate blood draws instead of one. If budget allows, getting more complete data upfront means better protocols from day one.
Do all panels require fasting?
Essentials and Performance do not require fasting. Complete Health and Longevity Pro requires 12 hours of fasting because they include metabolic markers (fasting insulin, lipid panel, A1C) that need accurate baseline measurement. Water and black coffee are fine. Schedule early morning.
Are follow-up labs included with treatment plans?
Yes. Ongoing Essentials Panel labs are included with hormone therapy subscriptions at no extra charge. If you want follow-up testing at a higher tier (Performance, Complete Health, or Longevity Pro), those are available anytime at the prices listed on each panel page.
Can I use my own recent bloodwork instead?
Yes, if it’s from within the last 90 days and includes all required markers for the panel level you’re replacing. Email your labs to support@testdepot.com with your name, date of birth, and date of draw. We review within 24 hours and confirm whether they meet our requirements.
What happens after I get my results?
We schedule a provider consultation to review everything. Your provider walks through each marker, explains what’s optimal versus just “normal,” identifies areas for improvement, and builds a treatment recommendation based on your complete picture. No rushed 5-minute reviews. No unexplained numbers.
Is the Cardio Panel worth adding?
If you’re over 40, have family history of heart disease, or are starting hormone therapy, yes. Apo-B is a better predictor of cardiovascular events than standard LDL cholesterol, and Lipoprotein(a) is a genetic risk factor you only need to test once. At $129 standalone or $39 off when bundled, it’s some of the most actionable data per dollar we offer.
Why are your lab prices lower than going through my doctor?
You’re paying for testing, provider review, and consultation. No insurance billing markups, no facility fees, no administrative overhead inflating the cost. What you see is what you pay.
