TRT isn’t the only option
Boost T. Skip the needles. Keep your fertility.
Most doctors have two modes: “Your T is fine” or “Here’s testosterone injections.” They skip the middle step entirely. What if your body can still produce testosterone naturally, but needs the right signal? That’s what enclomiphene does.
Your body makes testosterone
Your brain tells your testicles to make testosterone through LH and FSH. When that signal weakens, your T drops. TRT bypasses the problem entirely with external testosterone. Enclomiphene restores the signal itself by blocking estrogen’s suppressive effect on your hypothalamus. Your body does the rest.
Fertility stays intact
TRT can shut down sperm production. For men planning kids in the next few years, that’s a dealbreaker. Enclomiphene stimulates natural testosterone AND maintains sperm production. You get the benefits of optimized T without sacrificing your future family plans.

What optimized testosterone feels like
Specific outcomes. Realistic timelines. Based on what patients report.
Energy that lasts
Wake up ready. Stay sharp through the afternoon. No more crashing at 2 pm or dragging yourself through workouts. Most men notice sustained energy within 3-4 weeks.
Mental clarity
The fog lifts. Focus sharpens. Decisions come easier. That scattered, can’t-concentrate feeling fades. Cognitive improvements typically begin within 3-4 weeks.
Libido returns
Sex drive comes back. Performance improves. The interest you thought was just “getting older” returns. Most men notice improvements within 4-6 weeks.
Mood stabilizes
Irritability fades. Patience returns. That short fuse and low frustration tolerance even out. Most men notice mood improvements within 3-4 weeks.
Fertility preserved
Unlike TRT, enclomiphene maintains sperm production. Planning kids in the next few years? This lets you optimize testosterone without compromising that timeline.
Natural production intact
Your testicles keep working. No atrophy. No dependency. If you stop enclomiphene, your body gradually returns to baseline, without a crash requiring PCT.
Real patients. Real Results.

FAQ
Enclomiphene questions answered
The questions most men ask before starting.
What is enclomiphene and how does it work?
Enclomiphene is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) that stimulates your body’s natural testosterone production. It blocks estrogen receptors in your hypothalamus and pituitary, which signals your body to increase LH and FSH. Those hormones tell your testicles to produce more testosterone. Unlike TRT, which replaces testosterone, enclomiphene helps your body produce more of its own testosterone.
Is enclomiphene better than TRT?
Neither is universally better. The right choice depends on your situation. Enclomiphene may be preferred if you’re younger (under 40), planning children, want to maintain fertility, prefer oral medication over injections, or want to avoid testicular atrophy. TRT may work better for men with primary hypogonadism (testicular failure), those seeking more dramatic improvements, or older men whose bodies don’t respond well to stimulation. Our providers help determine which approach fits your goals.
Does enclomiphene preserve fertility?
Yes. Enclomiphene maintains or even improves fertility because it stimulates natural testosterone and sperm production through LH and FSH. Unlike TRT, which can suppress sperm production, enclomiphene works with your body’s systems. Studies show it can improve sperm parameters while raising testosterone levels.
How much will my testosterone increase with enclomiphene?
Enclomiphene can produce gains comparable to TRT. Some men go from 200 ng/dL to 1500 ng/dL. Results vary based on age, baseline levels, testicular function, and dosing. Response is typically apparent within 2-4 weeks and can be optimized through dosing adjustments.
What are the potential side effects of enclomiphene?
Enclomiphene is generally well-tolerated. Potential side effects may include mild visual disturbances (rare and typically temporary), headaches, mood changes, or gastrointestinal upset. Because it increases testosterone naturally, you may also experience typical testosterone-related effects like acne or increased libido. Unlike clomiphene citrate (the mixed isomer), enclomiphene contains only the active isomer, which means fewer estrogenic side effects. Most men tolerate it very well.
How long do I need to take enclomiphene?
Enclomiphene can be used long-term as needed. Some men use it continuously, others cycle on and off. Unlike TRT, stopping enclomiphene doesn’t typically require post-cycle therapy (PCT) because it stimulates rather than suppresses your natural production. When discontinued, testosterone levels gradually return to baseline over several weeks. Treatment duration depends on your goals, your response, and whether you eventually transition to TRT or achieve sustainable improvements.
Can I switch from TRT to enclomiphene?
Yes, transitioning is possible and often done for fertility restoration. The transition requires careful management. You’ll stop TRT, implement a recovery period, then start enclomiphene. Our providers guide this with appropriate monitoring to minimize symptoms and optimize recovery of natural production.
Why isn’t enclomiphene FDA-approved for testosterone?
Enclomiphene is prescribed off-label for testosterone optimization. While not FDA-approved specifically for male hypogonadism, it has extensive safety and efficacy data. The manufacturer withdrew their FDA application for business reasons, not safety concerns. Off-label prescribing is common for effective medications.
Will enclomiphene work if TRT didn’t?
If TRT raised your testosterone but caused intolerable side effects or fertility concerns, enclomiphene may be a good alternative. However, if your testicles can’t produce testosterone adequately (primary hypogonadism), enclomiphene likely won’t work well since it stimulates production rather than replacing the hormone. Enclomiphene works best for secondary hypogonadism (when the signal from the brain to the testicles is weak) but not for primary testicular failure. Lab testing helps determine which type you have.
What labs do you test?
Our Essentials Panel includes CBC, Total PSA, Total Testosterone, and Estradiol. These are the minimum markers needed to safely prescribe enclomiphene and monitor your response. Want deeper insights? Ask about our Performance, Complete Health, or Longevity Pro panels during your consultation.
Can I use my own labs?
If you’re not currently on hormone therapy, we accept labs from the last 6 months. If you’re already on TRT or enclomiphene, labs must be from the last 90 days. Labs must include CBC, PSA, Total Testosterone, and Estradiol. Not sure if yours qualify? Ask during your free consult.
What are the qualifications for enclomiphene?
You must be at least 18 years old. Qualification depends on clinical symptoms and lab evidence suggesting secondary hypogonadism (low T with normal testicular function). Some medical conditions may prevent treatment. Your provider will review your full health history during the consultation.
How long will it take to notice results from enclomiphene?
Most men notice initial improvements in energy and mood within 3 to 4 weeks. Testosterone levels typically rise within 2 to 4 weeks and can be confirmed with follow-up labs. Libido and cognitive improvements usually follow within 4 to 6 weeks. Full optimization may take 2 to 3 months, as we adjust your dose based on your response. Results vary based on baseline levels, age, and how well your body responds to stimulation.
